33rd Annual National Night Out

Steger, IL, along with many other communities across the nation, is once again participating in National Night Out. On the evening of August 2nd, residents are invited to turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. The Steger Police Department will host an event outside the Louis Sherman Community Center. Join them, weather permitting, for family fun activities in the parking lot.

This event is designed to:

1. Strengthen the partnership between the police the citizens they serve,
2. Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness,
3. Generate support for and participation in anticrime efforts, and
4. Show criminals that the citizens are ready to fight back!

This is a national event, sponsored by ADT, Nextdoor.com, and Associa, that will involve over 16,700 communities from all 50 states!
